JULY VETERANS BENEFITS LUNCHEON – FREE EVENT FOR ALL VETERANS ON THURSDAY, JULY 17TH

Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 399 invites all veterans to a Veterans Benefits Luncheon on Thursday, July 17th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at 465 Riverside Avenue, Westport. This free event is open to all veterans as part of an outreach effort to check in on veterans’ welfare and connect them with the benefits and support they have earned.

Everyone is welcome. Whether you’re a veteran or you know someone who served, this is a chance to enjoy lunch, learn more about available veterans’ benefits, and connect with other members of the veteran community in a relaxed and supportive setting.

The event is part of VFW Post 399’s ongoing mission to serve those who have served. Representatives will be on hand to answer questions and provide information on services and assistance available to veterans.

RSVPs are encouraged, but NOT required to help with planning. Please email vfw399ct@gmail.com and include the number of attendees in your message or call VFW Post 399 at (203) 227-6796.

60th Straight Monthly VFW Blood Drive – Friday June 27th

Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 399 is reaching a milestone by hosting monthly blood drives for 5 years with over 2700 donors.  Proudly sponsored by The Goddard School, the Red Cross Blood Drive is scheduled for Friday, June 27th between 8am – 5pm.  This event is a crucial effort to support our community’s healthcare needs and save lives through blood donations. Your generous contribution can make a significant impact and contribute to the well-being of those in our community.  A recent study, published in the American Journal of Epidemiology, found that people who donated blood had a significant lower risk of suffering a heart attack!

Recently diagnosed with myelofibrosis, an extremely rare blood cancer, London decided to release Spirit Stronger Than Blood as a celebration of life. After a serious battle, Sir Frank (he was knighted by the government of Hungary!)  has gained the upper hand and is once again touring the world, composing, and playing better than ever.  This concert is the official CT release of the new release on ESP-Disc.
