VFW Post 399 is proud to host a special evening of live music featuring the Pete Campbell Band with special guest Drexel Baker on Friday, June 13, 2025 at 8:00 PM. This free show is open to the public (ages 21+) with donations appreciated.
Fresh off the release of his blues single “World on Fire,” Ridgefield, Connecticut’s own Pete Campbell brings his soulful, indie-folk style to Westport for an unforgettable night. A talented singer-songwriter, guitarist, and even maple syrup producer, Pete Campbell’s music blends classic folk-country roots with a modern, authentic voice.
Joining Pete will be Drexel Baker, whose powerful presence and musicianship add depth to a night already rich with talent and meaning.

Country rock fans, mark your calendars! On Saturday, July 19th at 8:00 PM, Grady McAuliffe and his band will perform at VFW Post 399, located at 465 Riverside Avenue, Westport. With his new country rock single, “On the Edge”, at #4 on the Hot Disc/All Country Radio chart, this “special” appearance promises a high-energy night of country grit, southern soul, and rock-infused anthems.
Known for his raw originals and electrifying renditions of modern country favorites, Grady will deliver a full-throttle performance featuring hits by Morgan Wallen, Luke Bryan, Luke Combs, and more—plus his own crowd-stirring tracks that have been making waves across the country circuit.

The parade, which starts at 9 a.m. Monday, May 26, will follow the usual route: The line of march begins on Riverside Avenue, heads east on Post Road East, crossing the Saugatuck River via the Ruth Steinkraus Cohen Bridge, to Myrtle Avenue passing Town Hall, then to Main Street and ending at Parker Harding Plaza. Edward Karazin, Jr., an Army veteran of the Vietnam conflict and longtime state Superior Court judge, has been named grand marshal of this year’s Memorial Day parade. Brigadier General Brien Horan, CT Army National Guard (Retired) will serve as the Master of Ceremonies
Theme of floats in this year’s parade is “Remember and Honor.”
Immediately following the parade, a ceremony paying tribute to the nation’s fallen will take place on Veterans Green.
In case of rain, the program will take place at 10 a.m. in Town Hall. Following the ceremony, veterans and community are invited to VFW Post 399 at 465 Riverside Avenue for a free buffet luncheon from 12-2pm.
