SUMMER COMEDY RETURNS TO VFW POST 399 ON FRIDAY AUGUST 14TH

 

Comedy nights keep rolling at the VFW Westport!  Enjoy the summer, this event is one of the best comedy shows in Connecticut. Beat the heat with some laughs at the VFW Westport overlooking the iconic Saugatuck River.  The August show brings another great lineup headlined by the hilarious Matt Vita. Brought to you by the City’s Backyard with Matt Zako. Tickets are $20 online plus a 1 drink minimum at the show. Seating is first come first serve. Doors open at 7pm, show starts at 8pm. This show has been known to sellout, so buy tickets in advance!

This month’s comedians include Joe Pontillo, Tony Liberti, Autumn Harvist, John Kenneth and headline by none other than Matt Vita.

Support the veteran community and find out what the local papers are talking about. The VFW has a full bar and a light food menu. Oh yeah and plenty of free parking!

VFW POST 399 NAMED 2026 ALL-AMERICAN POST FOR SECOND CONSECUTIVE YEAR

 

The 106-year-old Joseph J. Clinton Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 399 has been named an All-American Post for 2026, one of the highest honors awarded by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Department of  Connecticut for the second consecutive year.  The recognition follows the Post’s unwavering commitment to serving all veterans and the local community.

The All-American designation is awarded annually to select VFW Posts that demonstrate outstanding leadership, excellence in advancing the VFW’s core programs, meaningful community service, and sustained membership growth.  VFW Post 399 provides monthly free Veteran Benefits Luncheons, American Red Cross blood drives, youth scholarships and patriotic education programs.

“Being recognized as an All-American Post is a tremendous honor and a testament to the volunteers, members, and community partners who support our mission of serving veterans and our community” said Phil Delgado, VFW Quartermaster.

VFW 73RD RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE ON FRIDAY JULY 31st

VFW Post 399 is hosting the 73rd straight monthly Red Cross Blood Drive on Friday, July 31stbetween 12-5pm.  This event is a crucial effort to support our community’s healthcare needs and save lives through blood donations. Your generous contribution can make a significant impact and contribute to the well-being of those in our community.
