Westport Scout Troop 39 Honors Veterans

In preparation for Veterans Day on Tuesday, November 11, members of Westport Scout Troop 39 volunteered their time on Sunday afternoon to assist VFW Post 399 in replacing American flags on the graves of veterans laid to rest at the historic Christ and Holy Trinity Cemetery in Westport.

The project, part of the troop’s ongoing commitment to community service and honoring those who served, ensures that each veteran’s resting place is marked with a fresh American flag in recognition of their sacrifice and service.

Following their work at the cemetery, Troop 39 Scouts and their parents were welcomed at VFW Post 399 for a fun and well-deserved hotdog lunch, where they shared stories and reflected on the meaning of Veterans Day.
