Join us for a warm evening of hot Jazz at Westport’s own Jazz Inferno! Melissa  is a natural talent, and really makes every song she sings her very own. With a band like this, the evening is sure to be way over the top. This show always sells out so be sure and get reservations early!

Melissa Newman had a lucrative career singing jingles for companies like AT&T and Chevrolet. Locally she has  performed at the Blue Lemon, Tengda, and Harvest in Westport,
with guitarist Tony Lombardozzi and bassist Phil Bowler.

Melissa also makes, shows and sells ceramic and porcelain sculpture. Melissa’s work is featured in the current major exhibit, “The Weight of Memories” at the Norwalk Art Space.

And if that is not enough, we celebrate Melissa as an author!  She has a new book out entitled “Head over Heels”, a love story in words and pictures.

She lives in Westport with her husband and two sons.

VETERAN BENEFITS LUNCHEON — FREE EVENT FOR ALL VETERANS ON THURSDAY FEBRUARY 26TH

Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 399 invites all veterans to a free Veteran Benefits Luncheon on Thursday, February 26th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at 465 Riverside Avenue, Westport. This event is open to all veterans as part of an outreach effort to check in on veterans’ welfare and connect them with the benefits and support they have earned.

Everyone is welcome!  Whether you’re a veteran or you know someone who served, this is a chance to enjoy lunch, learn more about available veterans’ benefits, and connect with other members of the veteran community in a relaxed and supportive setting.

The event is part of VFW Post 399’s ongoing mission to serve those who have served. Representatives will be on hand to answer questions and provide information on services and assistance available to veterans.

VFW Red Cross Blood Drive on Friday January 23rd

VFW Post 399 is hosting the 67th straight monthly Red Cross Blood Drive on Friday, January 23rd between 11am-4pm.  This event is a crucial effort to support our community’s healthcare needs and save lives through blood donations. Your generous contribution can make a significant impact and contribute to the well-being of those in our community.
