The Joseph J. Clinton Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 399 impressively hosted 2 highly successful Red Cross Blood Drives during the month of March on Monday, March 7th and for Tuesday March 15th sponsored by the Westport Young Woman’s League. Donors were strongly urged to give now to help ensure lifesaving blood products are available for patients. Hospital demand continues to outpace donations and our help is vital. Once again, we thank everyone for their contribution and support of this important community program by exceeding our donation goals in support of our VFW 20th blood drive that was held in March!

The Joseph J. Clinton Veterans of Foreign of Wars (VFW) Post 399 takes great pleasure in expressing our appreciation to the Goodnow Fund for awarding a $2000 grant to VFW Post 399 for plumbing repair assistance. In behalf of all our members, we are grateful for the generosity of the Goodnow Fund in recognition of our unparalleled support to veterans.
The Goodnow Fund is a family foundation providing support to numerous organizations. The Fund provides approximately $1.4 million in grants each year to nonprofit organizations. Based in Darien Connecticut, the Fund has a particular focus on supporting organizations in Fairfield County, Connecticut.
Thank you! VFW Post 399 is so grateful to all our donors that continue to stand with us through Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). Nearly 1 thousand donors throughout Fairfield County have responded to the call during the past 18 months to support the lifesaving mission and we can’t thank you enough! Your commitment to donate to the American Red Cross truly made a difference on Tuesday, February 15th ….we registered 49 total donors, collected 42 pints of blood and recruited 7 first-time donors. Your efforts have helped boost the community blood supply and ensure hospital patients have the lifesaving blood they need.
