VFW Post 399 hosted our 24th straight monthly Red Cross Blood Drive on Friday, July 1, 2022 with over 60 donors. Whether you’re a regular donor, or considering it for the first time, the Red Cross Blood Drive is a great opportunity to give the gift of life.

Donated blood has a limited shelf life of 42 days for red cells, so the supply must constantly be replenished. One blood donation can help save more than one life and volunteer blood donors are the only way to ensure a stable blood supply. The success of the blood drive and community support is vital during this period extreme blood shortage throughout the community. Thank you again for your support!

A special thank you to the Westport Garden Club and Izzo & Son Country Gardens for their gracious support and flower donation to VFW Post 399. The donation of support this year certainly helped celebrate our planned Memorial Day events for 2022! We can’t do all, can’t do it alone and can’t do it without your help.

The VFW Post 399 kitchen needed a fresh paint job for a long time. To the rescue, Westport Scout Troop 100 volunteered to help with the kitchen clean up and expertly completed a beautiful paint job this week. In addition to earning merit badges, every Scout is required to formulate, organize and execute a project that benefits the community and have it approved by the council office. A special thank you to Troop 100 for all their dedication, determination and hard work in support of the Joseph J. Clinton VFW Post 399 kitchen project!
