VFW Post 399 recently hosted our 14th consecutive monthly Red Cross Blood Drive on October 12th with over 54 donors.  The successful blood drive was sponsored by the Charley With A Y Foundation in memory of Westport resident Lance Corporal Charles M. Rochlin, USMC.

The Red Cross is currently facing an emergency blood shortage.  Donor turnout has reached the lowest level of the year as many delayed giving amid a return to the workplace and recent surge in COVID-19 cases due to the delta variant.  Your blood  is critical, so please call 1-800-738-2767 or click www.redcrossblood.org to make an appointment for our next VFW Blood Drive scheduled on Wednesday, November 17th between 11am-4pm.
