For past four years the VFW Post 399/August Matthias American Legion Post 63 impressively hosted a monthly Red Cross Blood Drive. On Friday, the blood drive sponsored by the Goddard Schools in Westport had over 80 donors. Phil Delgado, VFW Quartermaster said “thanks to sustained partnerships with other community organizations, we have become the premier Red Cross Blood donor site in Fairfield County, having welcomed over 2,200 donors to date. Remember, one unit of blood can save up three life’s.” Every donation does make a difference, next blood drive is scheduled for Wednesday, July 31st, 12-6pm.
