The VFW team of veteran volunteers proudly participated in the highly successful Slice of Saugatuck on Saturday September 10th, 2 pm – 5 pm with over four dozen of Saugatuck’s finest restaurants, shops and galleries opened their doors and invited the community to come and sample the offerings. A specials thanks to our membership, Frank Veno, Ed Hernandez, Phil Delgado, Bob Tirreno and Dennis Rohrmoser for their dedication to help with the record number of visitors.
“Jazz at the Post” on Thursday, September 1st stars Rob Henke & the Cook County Stompers.
Greg Murphy, Tim Ferguson, Sipho Kunene and Greg Wall — the “Jazz Rabbi” — play 2 sets at VFW Joseph J. Clinton Post 399 (7 and 8:30 p.m.; dinner at 6:30; $10 cover).

Congressman John Himes visited VFW Post 399 today for lunch and discussion about how the PACT Act will benefit our veteran community. The PACT Act is a new law that expands VA health care and benefits for Veterans exposed to burn pits and other toxic substances. This law helps us provide generations of Veterans — and their survivors — with the care and benefits they’ve earned and deserve.
