Thanks to our maintenance crew, Dave and Anthony are making excellent progress each day in support of phase 1 to replace all ceiling tiles and LED light fixtures throughout VFW Post 399 (main level and downstairs banquet area).
In addition, Frank Veno and Dean Veno spearheaded efforts to move 4 huge veteran memorial stones from our marina area to the front of VFW Post 399 in recognition of our 100th Year Anniversary. Craig Logan has graciously offered to landscape the area around the rear flag pole where the veteran memorial stones were previously located. Again, thank you all for your support!
Charley With A Y Foundation is sponsoring a VFW Post 399 community blood drive to help patients in need. For planning, the Red Cross Blood Drive will be held on Friday, May 27th between the hours of 1pm – 6pm in the VFW main floor conference room. After donating, please enjoy a free hot dog in our Sandbar Restaurant.
The Home Depot Foundation announced that VFW Post 399 was approved for a building renovation grant in support of our 100th Year Anniversary! The renovation will include replacement of ceiling tile/LED Light fixture upgrades throughout building and flooring replacement for bar, meeting rooms and dining room areas. In addition, painting of the outside entrance portico/porch ceiling. trim and inside wood paneling.
