The Westport Sunrise Rotary sponsored the hugely successful American Red Cross Blood Drive at VFW Post 399 on Thursday, March 11th. The drive was attended by over 61 donors and 55 good units were collected. We had another great turnout, especially considering these uncertain times and every donation is greatly appreciated.
As COVID-19 containment efforts continue nationwide, the Red Cross Blood drives are essential and directly support emergency services open to sustain our fight against coronavirus and help vulnerable patients with chronic illness or disease. The next VFW Blood Drive will take place on Wednesday, April 21st between 11am-4pm sponsored by the Westport Young Woman’s League.
